Update LINUX kernel on CentOS 7

Running yum update will only fetch updates from the distribution's repositories, which can be behind kernel.org's. The following enables a third-party repository and lists the related packages:

rpm --import https://www.elrepo.org/RPM-GPG-KEY-elrepo.org
rpm -Uvh http://www.elrepo.org/elrepo-release-7.0-2.el7.elrepo.noarch.rpm
yum --disablerepo="*" --enablerepo="elrepo-kernel" list available

Install using:

yum --enablerepo=elrepo-kernel install kernel-ml

At this point, running uname -sr doesn't indicate anything different but cPanel does stop showing the kernel update message.
